Morecambe is a busy seaside town 3.5 miles to the west of Lancaster.
Morecambe has a population of approx 33,500 with a catchment to be in the order of 130,000 (source CACI).
The area is easily accessible thanks to the new M6 Link Road, the Bay Gateway leading to Junction 34.
The regeneration of Morecambe and visitor numbers are set to increase following planning approval for the proposed development of the Eden Project North. At the time of writing we await proof of funding for this particular project.
Formerly 3 retail units, all single storey, now in need of full re-development.
3 derelict retail units.
Previous Proposed Accommodation
3 ground floor retail units and 2 first floor flats.
Previously planning has been granted under reference number 09/00068/FUL in 2009 but has lapsed since. That plan referred to 52 Yorkshire Street as well but that building is not part of this ownership.
A more recent plan has been drawn up showing just 54-58 Yorkshire Street, still split into 3 retail units and 2 flats above which has not been submitted yet for planning to our knowledge. Plan available for inspection.
The subject premises are not safe to view internally so any development assessment will have to be undertaken externally.
Strictly by appointment with Fisher Wrathall Commercial, 82 Penny Street, Lancaster, LA1 1XN.
